ALCHEMIST EPITAPH

Epitaphs commemorate the extraordinary.

In 2021 the character of the Museum Francisco Carolinum in Linz, Austria, has changed to a new museum for photography and media art. The groundbreaking exhibition PROOF OF ART and the founding of a new collection for NFTs and digital art were milestones of this new direction. Much of it was still very experimental, for the museum, for its visitors, but also for the artists. And somehow it felt like alchemy what was happening in the NFT hype at that time.

The ALCHEMIST EPITAPH commemorates this year, which was so significant for the Francisco Carolinum.
